Since I last wrote, we’ve been to the East Coast and back. Some travel commentary:
Our flight from San Francisco to Dulles took FOUR HOURS. I am not making this up. They told us it would take 4.5, which seemed ludicrously short even then, but it took just a couple of minutes over four. Doesn’t that seem ridiculous? It takes longer to drive from San Francisco to LA.

None of the planes we were in had holes in them. Bonus.

At the conference we attended, we stayed in a hotel that let me order room service breakfast at 10 pm. It was almost the highlight of my conference. Ordering room service is one of the best things ever. If you disagree I will think you are an alien.

It was Cherry Blossom season in DC. We did not see any blossoms. Too busy.

I had one of the best omelets of my life in Baltimore. Tomatoes, swiss cheese and big chunks of crab meat, dusted with Old Bay. Shut. the. front. door. It was amazing.

My aunt and uncle really know how to cook a brunch.

Reston Town Center = confusing and overwhelming.

It was alarming to experience so much weather. The days we were in Baltimore, it was just over freezing, 35-40 degrees. The day we left, it was so so beautiful, 80 degrees with a light breeze. sort of alarming coming from consistent 55-65 degree temperatures.

It was a bit of a crazy 10 days, and to all the people who hung out with us, made us meals, opened up some wine or met us for late night dessert: thanks for being awesome, all of you help us remember why home is still home.
I’ve ordered room service on 2 separate trips. In Jamaica it was great. Last week in New York pretty gross. I only ate half of the toast. Even the bacon was far too gone… So sad.
Glad you enjoyed the trip east
awesome. so glad i got to see you two!
